Green and Sustainable Construction: International Standards and Practical Approaches

Armenia is taking important steps toward a greener, more sustainable future — and we’re proud that Green Growth Alliance is part of this shift.

On July 9, 2025 we joined a workshop organized by the Yerevan Urban Development PIU, in collaboration with BIM Consulting LLC and Energy Systems LLC, focused on “Green and Sustainable Construction: International Standards and Practical Approaches.”

At the heart of the discussion: how global standards like EDGE, LEED, WELL, and BREEAM can be adapted to meet Armenia’s local needs — not just in theory, but in everyday planning, design, and implementation.

A key outcome of the day was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding — a major step toward long-term cooperation. This collaboration marks a new level of engagement between civil society and state actors in Armenia’s green development journey.

It’s not just symbolic — it’s a concrete move toward real, scalable change, especially in making new and existing public buildings more efficient and comfortable.
