First screening survey on in Armenia

The Green Growth Alliance has launched the inaugural survey focused on the green economy in Armenia, marking a significant step towards understanding and promoting sustainable development within the country.

In collaboration with MPG Armenia, we conducted a survey across various sectors to understand perceptions of the green economy in Armenia

Key Insights

Awareness: 92% are aware of green building concepts, with the highest awareness in NGOs and international organizations.

Challenges: Financial barriers (56%), weak regulations (62%), and a skills gap (56%) hinder green construction.

Incentives: Tax reductions (56%) and financial support (54%) should drive the Green/Sustainable building movement.

Priority Sectors: Sustainable finance (36%), renewable energy (32%), and green construction (26%) lead interest.

Support Needs: Training (64%), consulting (48%), and market research (32%) are top asks.

These findings will guide us in developing impactful programs, advocating for supportive policies, and fostering collaboration to accelerate Armenia’s transition to a sustainable future.
