What if Armenia adopted a roadmap that turns waste into value, and aligns every sector with sustainability?

On October 7, 2025, a high-level consultation was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to discuss a draft framework strategy for a green, sustainable and circular economy in Armenia.

During the discussion, participants reviewed proposed legal frameworks, sectoral priorities, targets, and action plans across energy, transport, agriculture, urban development, industry, and services.

Notably, the strategy includes:
The introduction of a taxonomy (classification of green, transitional, and enabling initiatives),
Mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation of the green transition
Incentives for green public and private investments, green jobs growth, and resource efficiency
Discussion about regulations to promote the adoption of electric vehicles as part of the medium-term regulatory framework

We see this as a critical step in aligning policy with the green aspirations of Armenian businesses and communities.
